From Tuesday 6 to Saturday 10 September music will blare through the corridors, texts will drip from the walls and art and kitsch from Konrad Boehmer's private collection will fill the rooms of Pampus.

On Sunday 11 September, 7090 will close with four explosive performances:

  • 12:00 Echelon (2001) for five instruments and soundtrack (Koen Kaptijn, Nora Mulder, Akim Moiseenkov, Jasper Stadhouders, Ruben Kieftenbelt and Arie de Zwijger).
  • 12u45 Chant de Départ (1986) for reciting cellist (Christophe Roy)
  • 13:30 Der Tänzer unserer lieben Frau (1963) electronic music for a ballet               (Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti).
  • 15:00 Cry of this Earth (1978) for soundtrack and percussion (Bart de Vrees).

In BimBamBoehmerBoem!, 7090 contrasts 'the monument' with 'the interpretation'.
The monument is in fact Konrad's legacy: the archive, the correspondence, the texts, the images and, of course, the music. In contrast to the timeless monument, 'the interpretation' is a one-off compilation. BimBamBoehmerBoem! is a 'composition' in itself, a total experience around the work of Konrad Boehmer. How does 7090 view Konrad and his work in all its facets? What is its relevance in the third decade of the twenty-first century? What was the context of his work then and what is it now? What has he generated?

In his book "Doppelschläge 1”, Konrad Boehmer described his 'ideal concert hall' as a long circular corridor that constantly flows into itself, with passages running in different directions, where the audience walks through the composition. 7090 found Boehmer's ideal hall in Forteiland Pampus’s system of passages: the fortress consists of various rooms and corridor systems, or layers around a central point in which the visitor can move freely. The different layers constantly interact, influence and transform each other, creating a dynamic event that flows into performance, concert, book presentation, exhibition and refreshments at the bar.

BimBamBoehmerBoem! was commissioned by the Konrad Boehmer Foundation and takes place during the Gaudeamus Music Week.
