POPup EXPO in Brighton

In 2017 we were invited by Brighton Spiegeltent to curate a popup EXPO during the Brighton Fringe Festival:

#1 PAVILLION 7090

For two weeks an empty cabin transformed into a pavillion filled with performances, music, texts, films and installations. PAVILLION offered a warm place to our strange, sometimes obscure or just curious takes on life.

#2 HULDEBIET - a dramatic concert

A performance avout the malleability of meaning. In a poetic sequence of slide projections, music, installations and sceneries Huldebiet shows three people trying to fit in and their vulnerable desire to start a party.

#3 The Jellyfish Trap - Satie 3D

The Jellyfish Trap is a hommage to Erik Satie. It is a concert in 3D and a musical narrative based on Satie's play by the same name. A cavalcade of characters and explosions in an absurd ceremony with intimate encounters, interspersed with Satie's original stage music. The Jellyfish Trap got the "We fucking love you" jury mention at the Amsterdam Fringe festival 2013.

#4 Sorry

The Viking Warrior, the Hubbabubba Gum-chewing Slut and the Hermit have placed the sign "Do Not Disturb" on the door of the hotelroom. They live in Harald Austbø's head and he gives you a musical peek through wood, strings and horsehair.

# 5 Daddyday

With his perfectly pitched and meticulously performed solo, Bert Hana stretches the limits of theatre and leaves one reeling in his Family Slide Show with a bloodcurling ending...
