De GROM (The Grunt) is about the primal scream: the ultimate cry from which all sound emerged.
Seven columns are set up in a space: they vary in size from 1.5 to 3 metres high and are made from materials such as wood, corrugated iron, fake fur and tiles. People can walk freely between the columns, touch them and listen to them.
In De GROM, six sound worlds slide slowly and inevitably over the 7 columns and over each other. Each sound world is created by one composer or sound artist.
